Get more fitness motivation here

It’d be a far nicer mile if this was the backdrop though…

Well, it’s noon. I guess I should probably shower and go be a person today.

Today’s HOLIDAY mantra: Setbacks are not failures. Setbacks are NORMAL.

Fact: no one’s perfect.
Fact: the fittest people in the world fall off track sometimes. Sometimes for a LONG time.
Fact: the most important part of a fitness regimen is consistency and getting back on the horse when you can. NOT perfection and strict adherence.
Fact: it’s NEVER too late and it’s NEVER all or nothing.

Too many people put pressure on themselves to be perfect, and when they slip up (because they WILL slip up. EVERYONE slips up) they blame themselves and sabotage their efforts. Know that setbacks are part of the journey, NOT indications of failure. You have the power to choose how you use them, see them and move forward from that point on.
You can’t re-do the workout you missed, or un-eat the brownies you had for breakfast (speaking of…they were delicious and SO worth it). But you can CHOOSE how you move on, and at the end of the day THAT choice will be more important than any setback you have.
